The most powerful “Apple” nettops, released on the basis of proprietary Apple M2 Max and M2 Ultra processors. Modifications of the mini-computer on the M2 Max chip have 12 computing and 38 graphics cores, the processor supports up to 96 GB of unified memory with a bandwidth of up to 400 GB/s. And on the M2 Ultra chip, the number of computing cores was increased to 24, graphics - to 76.
At the same time, up to 192 GB of combined memory is supported. The systems are designed to cope with the most resource-intensive tasks such as high-resolution video rendering, graphics processing, 3D modeling, etc. The Apple Mac Studio 2023 version, powered by the blisteringly fast M2 Ultra chip, supports up to six Pro Display XDR monitors. Wireless communication is provided by Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth v 5.3 modules; a 10-gigabit LAN controller is responsible for the cable connection to the Internet. In terms of on-board interfaces, on the rear panel you can see four Thunderbolt v4 ports, one HDMI and two USB-A. In turn, on the front panel there are two USB type C ports and a built-in SD card reader. Mini-computers from Apple come with the proprietary operating system MacOS Ventura pre-installed.
