The trekking four-person tent from the MSR brand is an advanced-class solution suitable for family hiking trips or outings with friends. The model is primarily recommended for outdoor activities, as its weight is just over 4 kg (or about 1000 grams per user), and the dimensions in the carrying case are 56x19x19 cm (or a volume of 20 liters). For its offered capacity, this means compactness and mobility for carrying in a hiking backpack.
The MSR Elixir 4 tent features a reinforced frame with three aluminum elements: a pair of long main poles arranged crosswise is complemented by a short support designed to reduce the roof slope and increase vestibule space. Campers are provided with a common sleeping area measuring 229x224 cm on the floor, so the width allowance per person is close to the standard 60 cm (only a couple of centimeters less).
The leisure room has two entrances located on opposite sides: this is convenient and helps to quickly ventilate the sleeping area. Two vestibules, each 66 cm long, are also provided. The inner layer has many mesh inserts, which enhances airflow and reduces the overall weight of the product. For user comfort, not only 2 pockets but also 4 shelves are offered under the ceiling, allowing for the organization of small items. Additionally, the tent has basic waterproof polyester outer fabric (1500 mm water column), quality fittings, and is made from eco-friendly materials (PFAS-free).
