The Ibanez RG421AHM presents a variant of the classic RG series with an unusual body material for this line, offering a more open and articulate sound compared to mahogany-bodied models.

The ash body provides a bright resonant tone with accentuated highs and tight lows, distinguishing this model from most electric guitars made from mahogany and basswood. Ash ensures excellent attack and clarity of each note even at high distortion levels. The legendary Wizard III maple neck with a maple fretboard allows for fast and comfortable play ― the thin flat profile lets the hand easily glide across the 24 Jumbo frets.

Black dot inlays on the light fretboard create a contrasting look. Two ceramic Quantum humbuckers in an H-H configuration deliver a quick bass response and enhanced midrange for speed riffs and a tight crunch. The five-way switch offers unique coil combinations with series and parallel wiring. The fixed Hardtail bridge with through-body stringing maintains tuning stability, and die-cast tuners provide precise tuning. A 43 mm nut width and bolt-on neck complete the classic RG construction.
