The KitchenAid Classic series of planetary mixers includes basic models and serves as an entry point into the brand's ecosystem. It's aimed at those purchasing a planetary mixer for the first time or those who want a reliable brand appliance without the extended color palette, additional Artisan features and the extra cost associated with them. This is a deliberately simple offering: only the essentials, but with the same fundamental design and durability as the higher series.

The mixers are available in restrained black and white colors and share a common technical base: a 275W motor, a 4.3 L bowl designed for a batch of six dozen cookies, three loaves of bread, or 2.7 kg of mashed potatoes in one go, and 10 speeds for precise control over the process. The set includes three standard attachments: a flat beater for mixing, a dough hook, and a whisk for whipping. Both the bowl and the machine's body are made from durable metal.

Classic Plus is a slightly updated version of the same model. The only difference is the inclusion of a flex-edge beater instead of the standard flat beater. The flexible silicone edges of the flex-edge beater scrape the bowl's sides during operation, reducing the need for manual scraping. In all other aspects, it's the same platform, the same specifications, and the same two colors.
