Fastening for rod

— a rod mount can be useful in cases where the rod has to be held stationary for a long time: many fishermen prefer to transfer the load from their hands to the stand in such cases, and using a mount specially designed for this is easier and more convenient than making props from improvised materials. On the other hand, such a function is considered a kind of “luxury item” and is found exclusively among specialized fishing chairs (see “Purpose”), and then mainly in the most advanced and expensive models.
