Stairs

— a specialized type of tile designed for finishing stairs. At the same time, we note that it includes two varieties — steps and risers. The first are laid horizontally, it is on them that the feet of people walking up the stairs step; risers are designed for finishing vertical surfaces on steps. So we can say that these materials are both floor ("horizontal") and wall ("vertical").

Also note that the steps themselves often have a relief notch, which increases friction and reduces the likelihood of slipping.
