Decorative tiles

 

— a tile designed for a beautiful appearance and intended for decorative finishing. Available in both wall and floor versions (see relevant paragraphs); the key difference of this variety is precisely the design — it is much richer and more diverse, often includes various patterns, ornaments, ethnic motifs, etc.

Note that decorative tiles, like panels (see the relevant paragraph), can be made with the expectation that a certain image can be made from several tiles. However, in this case, we are not talking about full-fledged paintings, but most often about patterns and ornaments, made up of a maximum of four tiles. It is also worth considering that, unlike classic wall and floor materials, decorative tiles usually do not allow cutting into separate fragments and installation in parts — this can spoil the appearance of the finished surface. Although, of course, there are exceptions.
