— in accordance with the name, the action of such nebulisers is based on the operation of a compressor, which provides spraying due to an intense air flow. This scheme of work provides high performance; in addition, most compressor models are compatible with all types of inhalants (only a few are unsuitable for working with essential oils). Among the shortcomings, it is worth highlighting the noise during operation, as well as greater weight and dimensions than ultrasonic models; because of the latter, compressor-type pocket nebulisers are rare and rather an exception.
