MIDI keyboards with encoders
— the presence of encoders in the keyboard — regulators in the form of rotary knobs. They are mainly used to control various functions of the device to which the keyboard is connected, for example, to turn the virtual knobs in the recording and sound processing software. The number of encoders can be different, the same applies to their design: in some models, the handles can freely rotate in any direction at any angle, in others the rotation sector is limited. It cannot be said that some option is definitely better: for some purposes, free rotation is more convenient, for others — a limited sector.
