Shower enclosures with matte glass
Matte
— shower cabins available in frosted (satin) glass design. It can be either the only design option or one of the available options, depending on the model. We only note that frosted glass with a pattern is not taken into account in this paragraph — it belongs to the category “with a pattern”.Frosted glass, usually, is transparent in itself, but has a characteristic uneven surface: it either distorts the outlines of the objects behind it, or creates a “fog effect”, hiding them (and individual shower cabins are available with several options for such walls at once). However, anyway, one of the main advantages of frosted glass is the ability to "mask" the person inside. This property can be very useful in some cases — for example, if the shower is installed in a shared bathroom that another person may need while someone is taking a shower. Opaque walls in such a situation will avoid embarrassment. Another advantage of this option is that it does not show as much dirt as it does on a transparent material. On the other hand, a matte surface inevitably adds to the cost of the glass—sometimes quite significantly. Therefore, it occurs much less often than the usual transparent one.
