So, one of the most popular options is an infrared sensor that determines the presence of a person before installation; when a person moves away, the flushing system turns on. Another option is a sensor that detects the presence of waste in the control area (for example, fluid in the urinal). Anyway, the main advantage of such systems is hygiene: the user does not need to touch the elements of the bathroom again. This is especially important for public toilets. On the other hand, contactless automation is not cheap.
