Icicles

— garlands made of horizontal wire with hanging "icicles" — glowing elongated "frostings." They are akin to fringe (see the corresponding section), but have much shorter descending strands. The icicles can have a melting effect, achieved by sequentially lighting up the bulbs under the "ice crust" from top to bottom. This creates the effect of a falling drop. Garlands of this type are used both for decorating apartments and for creating a festive New Year's atmosphere on the facades and windows of shops or cafes.
