PVSm wires

— a modified version of the PVA wire, featuring an external insulation with increased oil resistance.

For general features of PVS, see the relevant paragraph. Also note here that the “ordinary” polyvinyl chloride used in most of these wires does not tolerate contact with technical oils. The PVSm wire is free from this drawback: the composition of the insulation in it is chosen in such a way as to ensure resistance to oils and some other technical liquids. Such a cable can be used similarly to a conventional PVA, however, it is especially convenient for laying connections in various technical rooms, as well as in machines and mechanisms.
