Such a wash is available to almost any car owner, it requires the simplest set of equipment — a bucket of water or a hose, a sponge, a rag and the actual car shampoo. Ideally, it is also desirable to have rubber gloves, but many users neglect them. Knowing this, car shampoo manufacturers are trying to choose the composition of their products in such a way that it is safe for humans, even when used without gloves. On the other hand, this imposes certain restrictions on the range of acceptable ingredients, and it is difficult to use "powerful" and effective detergents in "manual" shampoos. Because of this, such products (and hand washing in general) are considered less effective than contactless ones.

Despite the aforementioned desire for safety, before using such a tool, you still need to carefully read the manufacturer's recommendations, and if in doubt, use rubber gloves.

Separately, we note that it is impossible to use manual shampoos in a contactless car wash: for “contactless” equipment, detergents with rather specific properties are required, and an unsuitable shampoo will be ineffective at best, and at worst it can lead to breakage.
