Due to constant irritation, the nipples of a nursing mother can become inflamed or cracked, and breastfeeding becomes painful because of this. In addition, increased sensitivity of the nipples is a purely individual feature of the body. Protective pads are designed for such situations. They look like caps with holes through which milk flows. Such caps are made of a thin, soft and safe for children material that does not have taste and smell — most often transparent silicone. Thanks to this, the baby easily captures the breast, not noticing the pads and at the same time feeling the warmth of the mother's body; and mom does not feel discomfort and gets a “breather” so that irritated nipples heal.
