— kitchen tongs — a device that resembles two spoons or spatulas, connected at the ends of the handles with a movable mount. Such tools will be handy in all cases when you need to tightly and securely hold the product. At the same time, we note that kitchen tongs have several specializations, in particular:— Serving. They have a working part resembling oak leaves in shape — with a characteristic figured edge. Quite versatile, can be used for salads, hot dishes (for example, pieces of meat in gravy or stewed vegetables) and other products.
— For meat. Usually, such tongs have the form of two flat spatulas. Sometimes, instead of one spatula, a two-pronged meat fork may be provided.
— For the salad. Forceps with a working part in the form of two rounded, rather deep cups.
— For pasta. Each half of these tongs ends in an asymmetric cup, shaped like a cheburek or dumpling — on the one hand, the edge of the cup is straight and even, on the other, it is rounded, with protruding “petals”. This form is considered the most convenient for spaghetti and other pasta.
— Tongs-scissors. Tongs, similar in design to scissors: the halves in them are connected not at the ends, but in the middle. Slightly larger than traditional models, but provide more force and a more secure hold. They can have a working part of a different shape and be intended for different products.
