Children's crossbows

— initially, a crossbow is, in fact, a bow, complemented by a stock and a retainer; the latch clamps the stretched bowstring during cocking and releases it when fired (pressing the trigger). Many children's crossbows use the same principle, being, in fact, a smaller safe copy of adult weapons. However, there are also more original models — for example, spring or water pistols, outwardly only imitating the appearance of a crossbow due to the characteristic "horns".
