— the absence of any eyepiece supplied with the microscope. The classic version of such a device is a digital microscope (see "Operating principle"), which does not have its own display and is connected to a computer or other external device with a screen during operation. Due to the absence of unnecessary optics, such devices are simple, compact and relatively inexpensive.
