Hammock

— hanging furniture in the form of a rectangular piece of fabric or mesh, stretched in length between two attachment points. In this case, the shape of the "working surface" can be either rectangular or tapering at the ends — depending on the presence of the support rail (see the relevant paragraph). Hammocks are well suited for relaxing in a lying position, however, many models can also be used as an impromptu seat (although you should not expect much comfort). Note that most of these products require two external supports for hanging; there are options with a frame (see "Functions / Capabilities"), but they are extremely rare and not cheap.
