Thus, tyres for this purpose must tolerate twisting around an axis perpendicular to the axis of rotation (these are the loads that occur when cornering). Also note that the front wheels in many ATVs are made narrower than the rear ones, so the rubber for such wheels also has a smaller width. However, this moment is rather arbitrary: the front wheels of a large car can be similar in size to the rear wheels of a smaller model.
