Hay rake

For hay

— agricultural rakes with a wide working part and resilient tines, designed not for heavy soil but for light, voluminous masses of grass: they are used to rake hay into windrows, turn it over for drying, and gather it carefully without clumping or tearing the turf. Hay rakes are notable for covering a larger area per pass and working more gently than regular garden rakes for leaves or soil. Example of use: after mowing, the grass is partially dried, then hay rakes are used to turn the layer over so it dries evenly, and later it is collected into windrows or piles for loading and storage.
