At the same time, for a number of reasons, this option is considered suitable mainly for the older age category. For example, parts of a metal constructor are usually connected with screws — this assembly method may be too complicated for small children, and small bolts and nuts are dangerous (the baby can inhale or swallow such a part). In addition, metal surfaces can oxidize; it is safe for a grown child who does not put everything in his mouth, but is hardly suitable for a curious, unconscious baby.
