Unisex construction toys
Unisex
— the term "unisex" usually means a designer that is equally suitable for both boys and girls. However, such universality is rather arbitrary. For example, constructors in the form of a set of parts (see "Type of game"), usually, are really quite universal. But kits for the smallest (usually they also belong to this category) can include only male or only female figures (and a small child is usually more pleasant to play as a character of his gender). Simply put, being in the unisex category in itself does not mean that the designer is guaranteed to be suitable for a child of any gender — before buying, you need to clarify the details (and, of course, take into account the preferences of the future owner). There is also a rather specific variety of designers in this direction — sets of two halves, “boys” and “girls” (for example, combining a car repair shop and a coffee shop), suitable for children of different sexes. Also note that this category increasingly includes themed construction sets that were previously considered purely “boyish” — for example, cars, combat robots, fantasy-style story sets with warriors and monsters, etc.
