Active cooling

— the presence in the design of the stand of its own cooling system, which provides forced heat removal from the installed laptop; usually one or more fans play the role of such a system. This function can be useful in hot weather, in case of poor design or malfunction of the laptop's standard cooling system, under high loads, and in other cases when high heat dissipation efficiency is required. At the same time, fans require their own power supply, and the presence of this function significantly affects the cost of the stand.
