Lock block

— this item of equipment allows you to block the car engine (or other part necessary for its operation — for example, a gasoline pump) in the event of an alarm or the Anti-Hi-Jack function (see the relevant paragraph). Thus, the car is immobilized, which makes it difficult both to steal it and to escape the attacker from the scene of the crime.

The bollards can use a normally closed (NC) or normally open (NO) contact method. The advantage of the first option is that if the alarm fails and there is no power to the blocker relay, the car does not lose mobility; the second option is considered more difficult to hack. Many alarm models provide only one way of operation, however, there are models with a choice between NC and NO at the discretion of the owner.
