Tourist matches

— special matches designed for use in camping conditions, during wet weather, strong winds, and other extreme circumstances. Unlike regular matches, they have enhanced ignition and are often coated with a special moisture-resistant or waterproof compound. Some models continue to burn even when in contact with water, do not extinguish from the wind, and can retain their ability to ignite after getting wet and drying. Camping matches are packaged in airtight boxes or tubes and sometimes come with strikers and spare heads.
