If the sleeping bag is your own, then the liner will allow you to wash the main shell of the bed less — it is enough to wash the liner itself from time to time. If a rolling bag is used, then the liner will increase the hygiene of the rest.

Additionally, some sleeping bag liners can be used separately from the main shell. The comfort temperature in them is usually 18-20 °C. If the temperature does not drop below 18 °C at the place of overnight stay, then you can take one liner with you, without a sleeping bag.
