Such a division is provided only in devices that have a sorting function — bills sorters and some coin counters (see “Product Type”). At the same time, the number of pockets is, in fact, the number of groups into which the processed money can be divided. And the more such groups, the more advanced the sorting capabilities are and the faster you can cope with the processing of mixed money. For example, we can take a situation where bills of three denominations (1, 5 and 10 dollars) are mixed in a pile. If there are only two pockets in the sorter, sorting such a stack by denominations will have to be done in two runs: first, separate one denomination, and then separate the remaining two. If there are more than two pockets, then the task can be completed in one go: the device will immediately distribute all the bills into three corresponding compartments. So if you often have to deal with bundles of mixed money or portions of coins, it makes sense to pay attention to devices from this category.
