Garment steamer

— devices designed primarily for vertical steaming, the treatment of clothes hung vertically with a jet of hot steam under pressure. Accordingly, a mandatory design element in such models is a rack with a hanger.

Vertical steaming is an effective method for smoothing wrinkles, especially on garments like thick jackets or heavily decorated items. Unlike regular irons, vertical steaming is gentler, avoiding fabric fiber crushing, with temperatures not exceeding 100 °C even during intense use. Initially designed for shirts and dresses, modern steamers come with trouser clips and specialized nozzles for various purposes, including forming creases. Some models even include mini-irons or full-fledged irons, making them versatile for both vertical steaming and traditional ironing, sometimes with an included ironing board.
