Vented tumble dryers
Ventilated drying type
— air ventilated drying is a drying where the moisture evaporated from the laundry is removed outside the machine (as opposed to the condenser method, when water is collected in a separate container; see the relevant paragraph for more details). The advantages of machines with this method of operation are the simplicity of design and low cost. In addition, the user does not need to monitor the filling of the condensate tank. At the same time, water vapour escaping from such a machine in a closed room would lead to a significant increase in humidity. Therefore, for the normal use of a ventilated dryer, either a powerful room ventilation system or a separate channel for steam output immediately to the street is necessary. Because of this, such models are more difficult to install than condensing ones, less versatile, and therefore less common.air vented | clear | Save List |
