— the name of this range stands for "Low Power Device". Accordingly, walkie-talkies with it have low power and range — which gives an advantage in the form of small dimensions and low power consumption. It belongs to the "urban" ranges, well suited for communication in dense buildings and an abundance of interference — it can provide an effective range of a couple of kilometers.
