10 gigabit ports switches

— the switch has at least one Ethernet port with a maximum speed of 10 Gbps (10 Gigabit Ethernet). It is the fastest Ethernet standard to date and is great for applications that require large amounts of data or require minimal latency. On the other hand, supporting 10 Gbps is still expensive, and the real need for such speeds does not arise very often; in addition, in special tasks like communication with other network segments, the Link Aggregation mode can become a good alternative to the 10Gigabit connector (see the relevant paragraph). Therefore, such ports are rarely used in switches and in small quantities, while in many models they work as Uplink ports (that is, connectors for connecting all devices serviced by the switch to an external network).
