— loop protection allows you to avoid the occurrence of closed loops in the network (which, in fact, are called "loops") — that is, situations when one signal moves through the network indefinitely. The reasons for this phenomenon may be different, but anyway it is undesirable — a looped signal is able to "put down" the entire network.
