Tour tower

— a device in the form of a rather large (metre or more) horizontal platform raised above the ground due to vertical supports. The supports themselves are often made in the form of stairs. Tour towers are indispensable for work that takes a lot of time: you can’t stand on an ordinary ladder for a long time, while you can stay on a platform for hours.
