Turntables with digital audio output
— digital audio output, usually optical or coaxial S/P-DIF. The digital format allows you to transmit sound over a single cable, while such a signal is less sensitive to interference than analogue; in addition, such a connection may be a necessary measure if the external audio device (signal receiver) does not have available analogue inputs. Speaking about the difference between the coaxial and optical interface, it is worth noting that the optical fiber is practically not subject to pickups, however, it requires more careful handling than the electrical cable.
