— suction cups make it possible to install the steering wheel on any flat surface; at the same time, unlike clamps, they work anywhere on such a surface, not only at the edge. However such mounts do not work well with uneven, rough and soft materials — on the other hand, gaming wheels are rarely installed on such materials. But the unequivocal disadvantage of suction cups is a decrease in efficiency as they wear out (despite the fact that even initially such mounts are inferior in reliability to clamps). Therefore, although such devices are usually quite durable, they are still much less common than clamps (see the relevant paragraph).

Also note that some modern steering wheels are equipped with two types of mounts at once — both suction cups and clips. Similar models are also included in this category.
