Inspired by speed-loving trail runners, the Ultra Raptor II Mid GTX Hiking Boot from La Sportiva gives us stability in a light, nimble package. As we trek quickly to bag a peak before sunset, the rugged upper fights off sticks and brush, while the lacing harness and heel stabilizer keep us surefooted. We barrel through water crossings unfazed with the breathable, waterproof GORE-TEX Extended Comfort liner protecting us from soaking the interior.

Crafted with support, comfort, and protection in mind, the Rush TRK GTX Hiking Boot keeps our feet feeling as spry at mile 5 as they did at the trailhead. A lightweight leather suede upper offers sneaker-like comfort, while Scarpa’s SuperGum rubber on the sole provides unrelenting traction on both wet and dry surfaces.
