III (medium)

— the lowest accuracy class found in laboratory and similar scales. Provides that for verification division up to 2 g, the number of these divisions should be from 100 to 10,000 inclusive, and for e > 2 g — from 500 to 10,000. LWL in both cases should not exceed 20d. The accuracy of the scales of this class is less than 1e for weights up to 500e, 2e for weights from 500e to 2,000e, and 3e for weights from 2,000 to 10,000e.
