— analytical refers to the most accurate type of laboratory balances (see the relevant paragraph), which is also intended for measuring very small masses and provides accuracy up to the fourth or fifth decimal place in class I or II (see “Accuracy class”). An almost obligatory element of such devices is a protective casing, and they can be used only in laboratory conditions: on a flat, reliable surface, in the most favorable environment.
