Such equipment is found mainly among mortise locks (see "Type"). It relieves the owner of the need to purchase handles separately. On the other hand, when buying, you need to make sure that the “native” handles fit the door at least in appearance; in some cases — in particular, with an unusual design of doors — it can be easier to choose handles separately.
