— lithium ion manganese oxide batteries (also known as Li-Mn). An improved variety of Li-Ion batteries, notable primarily for the ability to work with higher currents (both on discharging and charging; the latter reduces the charge time). In addition, such batteries are safer and are not prone to fire in the event of a malfunction. Their main disadvantages are somewhat lower capacitance than Li-Ion, as well as even greater sensitivity to low temperatures. Another feature is that IMR elements do not have protective electronics; this puts forward specific requirements for chargers (although theoretically such batteries are compatible with standard chargers for Li-Ion technology).
