Foam

— styling foams have a fairly thick consistency. They are used mainly for elastic fixation and giving additional volume, well suited for working with thin curls. After applying such a product, it may be necessary to fix it with a hair dryer. It is also worth noting that the foam gives a matte finish; this can be useful to remove excess shine from the hair and give it a natural look, but if the hair is dull, the foam is likely to only aggravate the situation. Mousse can be a way out of the situation (see the relevant paragraph).
