Schrader valve bicycle pumps

Schrader

— also known as a "car" nipple, or AV. It has the form of a cylindrical tube with a diameter of about 8 mm, with an external thread and a small pin in the centre; the valve opens when the pin is pressed. Among bicycles, such nipples are found mainly in entry-level and intermediate-level devices. One of the advantages of the Schrader is its versatility: any car pump or compressor is suitable for it, and vice versa, a bicycle pump for such a nipple can also be used with car wheels.
