In this case, the user steps with his foot on a special platform at the base of the device, fixing the pump in one place in a vertical position, and you can swing the handle with both hands at once. Floor pumps are more performant than manual ones, and the pumping procedure itself is such that the process takes less effort. In addition, the design may provide additional equipment such as a manometer to monitor tyre pressure. On the other hand, they are heavier and bulkier: such a pump will not fit in any backpack, and you cannot fix such a device on the frame.
