CAT8
— category 8 network cables support data rates up to 25 Gbps or even up to 40 Gbps, have a maximum channel length of up to 30 m. In addition to the overall foil or metal braid shield, all pairs of cable wires are subject to mandatory shielding. The four-pair "tails" of the CAT8 cable are terminated with RJ-45 connectors. Category 8 cabling is designed to support 40GBase-T applications, which require a 1600 MHz bandwidth with a quarter of the headroom up to 2000 MHz.
