— a cable having an overall shield consisting of metal foil and wire braid. Such a screen provides excellent protection against external interference, but does not protect against crosstalk between individual pairs of wires. In general, it is similar to F / UTP (see the relevant paragraph), differs from it, on the one hand, in a higher degree of shielding, on the other hand, in a higher cost.
