DVR recorders

 

— models compatible with traditional analogue cameras only. They have more modest functionality than network (IP), but for basic video surveillance tasks this is quite enough. At the same time, both the cameras themselves and the recorders for them are simple, reliable and are much cheaper than digital models.

Note that, despite the name, DVRs themselves usually have LAN ports and are able to work in computer networks.
