In fact, it plays the role of an automatic remote switch that optimizes the operation of lighting: the lamp only works when someone is nearby. This function is very convenient in situations where light is required only periodically, and manually turning it on and off is not very convenient: for example, such a lamp can be installed in the courtyard of a private house and automatically illuminate the road to the porch directly from the gate. In addition, the motion sensor can play the role of an impromptu alarm.
