The DisplayPort connector looks very similar to the HDMI connector, but they have distinctly different characteristics. Not only physically but performance wise as well. DisplayPort 1.4 supports up to more→8K at 60Hz and HDR, whereas you would need to use HDMI 2.1 to support 10K at 120Hz and HDR with dynamic metadata and enhance eARC.
