The Capitan MIPS is the high-impact Black Diamond helmet that offers extra protection on the sides and rear, as well as MIPS technology, while retaining a low-volume profile and optimum comfort levels for long days. Its plus: MIPS technology (Multidirectional Impact Protection System). MIPS is designed to protect against rotational (or kinematic) movements transmitted to the brain when the skull is subjected to oblique impacts. This enhanced protection system has proven its effectiveness in reducing rotational force and the risk of brain damage by absorbing and redirecting oblique impacts on the helmet.
